Settlement Plans and costs

What if I Don’t Qualify?

Ok, you have assets and or children.  Divorce still doesn’t have to be expensive or painful. If you and your spouse can agree on who will have custody, the visitation arrangements, and /or the distribution of your marital assets you can still get you divorced inexpensively.
It will cost you the same $250 with some minor additional fees, based on your needs, to put together a settlement agreement.  Look over our fees for settlement agreements. Then pick a payment plan option below and give us a call.

Settlement Agreement Costs

Children
$75 for the first child
$25 for each additional child
$150 total for 4 plus children
Assets
$100 for each marital real estate
$25 for each additional marital asset (non real estate)

The fight over custody, child support, and marital assets are what tend to make divorces very expensive. Lawyers know this and love when you fight. It means more billable hours for them. It is always best if you and your spouse can discuss and agree on these matters. If you guys agree over these issues, then it should not be that expensive and we want to make sure it isn’t.

Also, bear in mind it is also less emotionally taxing to you, your spouse and all the other parties involved, if the two of you can come to a mutual understanding on these matters. It is also a lot better than having a stranger (judge or other attorneys) make these decisions for you. If left to a stranger to make those decisions neither of you will get exactly what you want, so please bear this in mind as a starting point for discussions.

HOWEVER, IF YOU CAN’T AGREE, AS SAID BEFORE WE ARE ATTORNEYS WITH AN ACTUAL PRACTICE WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE TO FIGHT FOR YOU IF NECESSARY. VISIT US HERE FOR MORE LEGAL SERVICES.
